teaching artist - portfolio

I often work with organisations, communities, local councils and schools to facilitate accessible and interactive creative music workshops. I enjoy working with people of all ages, regardless of their prior experience in music. My practice as an artist and facilitator reaches out beyond sound and music forms. In particular, you may notice my love for everyday objects, zines, film and DIY technology throughout my work.

Below is a snapshot of some of my work 📸

Sounds & Stories (2022)

in collaboration with Laura Andrew and students of Cobar High School

Birds singing, ukuleles strumming, bike chains, gravel underfoot and the voices of five local community members are some of the sounds and music you will hear in Cobar High School’s Sounds and Stories. Sounds and Stories weaves together original student compositions, interviews and recorded environmental sounds to capture the tales of the old Silver Tank, sitting on the hill on the outskirts of Cobar.

I had a joyful week in residence at Cobar High, in collaboration with Laura facilitating a week’s worth of creative music workshops for the students alongside video editing, sound editing and arranging their creations to form this collaborative work.

This project was supported by Outback Arts.
