Elizabeth Jigalin is a composer, performer and educator who lives on Gadigal land (Sydney).
Elizabeth’s approach to music is deeply imaginative, playful and collaborative. In her work, she is often drawn to explore site specific music-making, participatory forms and the sounds of everyday objects. Elizabeth is the founder of APRA Art Music Award winning, creative music collective ‘the music box project’. In 2024, Elizabeth co-directed the collective’s inaugural festival of exploratory music Cut Paste Play. At present, she is Composer-in-Residence for Voices of Women and Moorambilla Voices Mirray Ensemble. Elizabeth is an associate artist with the Australian Music Centre.
